Did you know that there is a nation-wide shortage of bone marrow donors for asian-american and other people of color groups?
well, ASA is planning to host a bone marrow drive at the end of November in the College Center.
and even though we've been planning for this event.. it hasn't really hit me how severe of an issue it is until I read this post on Angry Asian Man
Stacy Walker is a young woman of half-Korean and half-Caucasian descent who had been suffering from leukemia. However, she hadn't been able to find a bone marrow match and has passed away this Friday morning...
So, c'mon guys, sign up to be a bone marrow donor, and you can SAVE A LIFE.
-- more info about our bone marrow driver coming soon-- check your emails.
